GISMA hosts event for new and returning students

The event was opened by a welcome speech from Professor Dr Stefan Stein, GISMA President. Professor Stein covered several fascinating topics, including linking the game theory to the actual world of a student.

His speech was followed by an introduction to the GISMA Student Support Team, who are there to make the academic journey at the university run as smoothly as possible for students. All GISMA teams were represented at the event, from accommodation to faculty.

This was followed by various meetings hosted by GISMA student representatives which aimed to build rapport with the new students. GISMA’s Student Ambassador, Hari Chayanam, also spoke about the student life experience at the business school.

The new students were then offered a campus tour and a walk to the nearby lake, which was a great opportunity to experience the location of the campus. They were then given the opportunity to socialise and network over drinks and snacks at the campus.

The event was attended by more than 40 students from all programmes who were able to build on the initial interactions they had throughout the recruitment process, with the day-to-day life they can expect as a GISMA student.
