
Gisma University of Applied Sciences Hosts Delegation from Ukraine & Moldova
From 29 September to 17 October 2025, Gisma University of Applied Sciences had the privilege of hosting a delegation of entrepreneurs and business leaders from Ukraine and Moldova. This visit was part of the Partnering in Business with Germany programme an initiative spearheaded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK).
The programme aims to strengthen international business collaboration, facilitate knowledge exchange, and support sustainable economic development. This year’s delegation placed a special emphasis on the food industry, reflecting the growing significance of food business in global trade, innovation, and sustainable development.
During their stay in Berlin, the delegates participated in intensive executive training sessions conducted at Gisma University of Applied Sciences. The training was led by:
- Christina Schneider-Siemon – Negotiation with German Partners
- Aksana Kavalchuk – Intercultural Communication
- Dr. Julia Moritz – Change Management, Leadership & Company Presentation
- Inga Markwart – Business Planning
Additionally, Frank Neumann served as the group’s tutor, accompanying the participants during their visit to ANUGA 2025.
These sessions equipped delegates with practical tools and insights to strengthen their enterprises and expand into international markets. Participants engaged in interactive workshops and case discussions, fostering a dynamic learning environment tailored to their specific business contexts.
As part of the programme, delegates visited ANUGA 2025 in Cologne, one of the largest and most influential food and beverage trade fairs worldwide. The visit enabled participants to:
- Explore emerging global trends in the food industry
- Discover innovative solutions and technologies shaping the sector
- Identify international business opportunities and potential partnerships
This experience provided delegates with valuable exposure to cutting-edge market developments, enhancing their capacity to drive innovation and competitiveness within their organisations. The success of this programme was made possible through the dedicated efforts of Prof. Dr. Peter Konhäusner, Anastasiia Ustimenko, Julian Davies, and Nigina Tawakalsada, whose coordination ensured a seamless and impactful exchange.
