Our team

Professor Dr. Eng. Sami Alsalamin is an expert in Computer Science and Engineering with a diverse range of research interests. These include system and algorithm optimization, the Internet of Things (IoT), emerging technologies, embedded systems reliability, and machine learning. His significant contributions to these fields are well-recognized, as evidenced by numerous publications in leading journals and at prestigious conferences.

Prof Dr Alsalamin’s academic journey exemplifies both diversity and excellence. He earned his Ph.D. in Engineering from the renowned Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in Germany in 2021. Additionally, he holds a B.Sc. in Computer Systems Engineering and an M.Sc. in Informatics from the esteemed Palestine Polytechnic University.

Before joining Gisma, Prof Dr. Alsalamin served as a research group leader, where he led innovative projects in embedded systems development. His combination of academic and industry experience makes him a key contributor to advancements in Computer Science and Engineering. This unique background allows him to provide both theoretical knowledge and practical insights in his teaching and research at Gisma.

At Gisma University of Applied Sciences, Professor Dr. Alsalamin is committed to driving innovation in his field and inspiring the next generation of engineers and computer scientists. He teaches a variety of modules that cover both practical and theoretical aspects of Computer Science and Engineering, including computer networks and security, cryptology, cybersecurity, AI, and machine learning applications, among others.
