Gisma Skills Sprint Week (1st June – 5th June) offers a dynamic, practice-oriented programme designed to bridge academic learning with real-world industry experience. Throughout the week, students will engage with leading organisations, innovative start-ups, and experienced practitioners, gaining valuable insight into today’s evolving business, technology, and entrepreneurship landscapes.
Monday – Digital Transformation at SAP
The week begins with a field trip to SAP, including SAP Labs Berlin, where students will explore how one of the world’s leading enterprise software companies enables digital transformation and powers global business operations.
This session provides a strong foundation in enterprise technology, innovation, and scalable business systems.
Tuesday – Clean Energy & Venture Innovation
Students will participate in an intervention session hosted by 1KOMMA5° in collaboration with Earlybird Vision Lab. The session explores the intersection of clean energy innovation, venture capital, and inclusive entrepreneurship, including support for start-ups founded by migrant entrepreneurs. It offers a forward-looking perspective on sustainability and investment ecosystems.
Wednesday – Start-ups, Creativity & Hackathon Experience
The day begins with insights from guest speaker Benjamin Wilkening, who will share practical knowledge on building and scaling start-ups. This is followed by an interactive hackathon in partnership with Audiotool, where students collaborate in interdisciplinary teams to design and develop innovative music-based digital products. The session encourages creativity, teamwork, and applied digital skills.
Thursday – AI in Legal Innovation
Students will be introduced to LawOMate, an AI-powered platform transforming the legal sector through intelligent client communication, document analysis, and secure collaboration systems. The session highlights the growing role of artificial intelligence in reshaping professional services and operational efficiency.
Friday – Energy Infrastructure & Sustainability
The week concludes with a field trip to E.DIS AG, one of Germany’s leading energy service providers. Students will gain first-hand insights into energy infrastructure, grid operations, and the challenges of transitioning toward sustainable energy systems.
