This high-tech, modern campus is home to our University of Applied Sciences students, where students study in person on campus and others study virtually. The architecture and building concept are focused on intelligence and efficiency, the spaces on flexibility, networking and collaborative working. It fosters the development of innovation through an exceptional learning environment specifically suited for collaborative teaching and learning. "Open Spaces" allow for recovery periods, networking, individual learning and group work.
The camera and sound technology in the classrooms is specifically suited to enable blended or hybrid teaching formats, where students on and off campus can join the class and connect in real-time, benefitting from seamless peer-to-peer interaction with each other. The campus is in a great location, with neighbours such as SAP Innovation Centre Network right across the road.
Potsdam is the picturesque capital city of the state of Brandenburg. It is known for its highly reputed science institutions, technological innovation, economic growth, a unique culture, and high living standards. It is a world heritage site, with the backdrop of outstanding nature. The city also benefits from being the twin city of Berlin, the German capital. The two cities share a border, and the journey from Potsdam Main Station takes just 20-30 minutes to the centre of Berlin, where you can find an inviting cultural, retail and nightlife scene.
Hear from one of our professors
Teaching tech concepts is like tightrope walking. The topics are so interesting, but you need to be very careful to not overwhelm students with too much theory. I have found a solution a long time ago: We should empower students to implement concepts right after learning theories. I really love the thrilled look on their face when students notice they can understand a complex tech concept and implement it in action. This is what the job market is looking for: Graduates who possess such a precious mix of theory and practice.

The full-time bachelor's degree programme comprises a standard study period of six semesters. The curriculum includes a ‘mobility window’ in the 5th semester: a semester reserved for you to study abroad or undertake further modules with an applied focus as part of career development.
For the bachelor's programmes, the total student workload for the courses is 180 ECTS credits.
A key element of this programme is the Career Development Semester, within which you will work on an end-to-end software engineering project. This project will allow you to work on a business problem, similar to what you may be given by a future employer. You will take this problem and develop a solution by collecting data, then building software to resolve the problem. You will then evaluate, test, and deliver the business solution, just like you would for an employer or client.
Additionally, within this module, you will work in App & Web Development Studio. This is a sandbox style lab, where you will have the opportunity to develop a web or mobile app, using the technical skills developed in previous modules. This is your opportunity to put the theory you have learned into practice, which will develop your skills for your career ahead.
