Students from the MSc Innovation, Strategy and Entrepreneurship programme took part in a study trip to Stockholm, Sweden. The main task for them was to plan and organise the trip completely by themselves while setting focus points for the week.

The group visited the headquarters of Volvo Group in Gothenburg. They learned more about the company by understanding Volvo’s strategic vision on the future of mobility and how it is currently building the competencies to achieve it. A special key takeaway for this session was: “You’re never too big to pursue innovation!”

Next stop was ASSA ABLOY, the largest global supplier of intelligent lock and security solutions, where the students explored new features, such as the key of the future, how to open your home in 2024 and the role of AI.

The third stop was the OBH Nordica Group, where innovation strategy is driven by customer needs and market opportunities. At Northvolt, provider of affordable and high-quality batteries, the students got an outlook on the greenest batteries in the world. At the Bonnier Group, they discussed the changing media landscape and at Innovation 360, they got the chance to experiment real life innovation and execute it on the amazing project “Fix the Planet”.

The end of the week marked the company visit to the headquarters of Spotify, the globally known streaming service, where the students got a great insight into the music industry.
