International Learning Formats for the Workforce of Tomorrow
Berlin/Potsdam, May 21, 2026 – GUS Germany GmbH (GGG), one of Germany’s largest private education groups, is expanding its academic offering at the BSBI School of Business and Innovation, the University of Europe for Applied Sciences (UE), and Gisma University of Applied Sciences with selected course materials from Harvard Business Impact. The initiative aims to prepare students more effectively for the demands of an increasingly dynamic international labour market while further enhancing modern case-based teaching methods in higher education.
Focus on Employability and Practice-Oriented Skills
As part of the initiative, students will gain access to selected digital management and leadership courses from the Harvard ecosystem. In addition, faculty members will receive training in the application of case-based teaching methodologies through dedicated faculty workshops and certification programmes. The institutions will also benefit from extensive teaching and discussion materials as well as resources for blended and practice-oriented learning.
The rollout will initially focus on business-related degree programmes and is intended to strengthen competencies in leadership, communication, teamwork, critical thinking, and employability. In total, more than 40 digital course offerings and over 7,000 additional teaching resources will be made available to the participating institutions.
“International employers today expect graduates to possess far more than academic knowledge alone. Analytical capabilities, leadership skills, and the ability to solve complex real-world problems are increasingly essential,” says Prof. Kyriakos Kouveliotis, Chief Academic Officer of GUS Germany GmbH. “With the course materials from Harvard Business Impact, we are purposefully expanding our teaching and learning environment with practice-oriented, internationally recognised content and modern forms of case-based learning.”
Faculty Development and Modern Teaching Approaches
“Universities today must equip students not only with academic knowledge, but also with the ability to apply learning in complex and evolving professional environments. We are pleased that GUS Germany GmbH is integrating selected Harvard Business Impact course materials to support modern, active-learning approaches and leadership development,” says Gabriela Allmi, Senior Director Harvard Business Impact.
Alina Gog, Chief Operations Officer of GUS Germany GmbH, adds: “We are very proud that students and faculty across our institutions benefit from the globally recognised expertise and academic excellence associated with Harvard Business Impact. By integrating real-world cases and application-oriented learning formats into teaching, we are further strengthening employability, leadership capabilities, and future-oriented competencies across our international academic network.”
A central component of the initiative will be Faculty Development Workshops hosted across GGG campus locations. Faculty members will receive training in case teaching, digital teaching formats, and the curricular integration of the materials.
The new content will be integrated into existing digital learning platforms and used in both online and on-campus teaching. The initiative places a strong emphasis on student-centred and application-oriented learning approaches.
Through this initiative, GUS Germany GmbH reinforces its commitment to aligning international higher education more closely with the needs of global labour markets and modern management practice.
