Gisma University of Applied Sciences – The Only University in Germany with Both AMBA and BGA Accreditations

Gisma University of Applied Sciences is proud to announce the successful achievement of its AMBA re-accreditation and initial BGA accreditation, following approval by the International Accreditation Advisory Board (IAAB) of AMBA & BGA. This accomplishment marks an important milestone in Gisma’s continuous pursuit of excellence in business education and reaffirms its position as a globally recognised institution committed to responsible management and continuous improvement.

With this distinction, Gisma now joins the top 2% of business schools worldwide that hold AMBA accreditation, a prestigious recognition of the quality, impact, and innovation demonstrated across its programmes, faculty, and student body. In Germany, only six business schools have earned AMBA accreditation, and Gisma stands alone as the only institution to hold both AMBA and BGA accreditations.

The achievement is a testament to the university’s dedication to fostering an educational environment that combines academic rigour with real-world relevance, preparing graduates to lead with integrity and purpose in a rapidly evolving global landscape.

This milestone reflects Gisma’s strategic focus on delivering education that empowers students to think critically, act responsibly, and drive meaningful change. Through its innovative curriculum, international partnerships, and strong emphasis on sustainability and ethical leadership, Gisma continues to strengthen its role as a forward-thinking university that bridges the gap between academia and industry.

Professor Dr. Ramon O’Callaghan, President of Gisma University of Applied Sciences, stated:”

“This dual recognition from AMBA and BGA underscores our unwavering commitment to quality, innovation, and responsible leadership. It demonstrates the dedication of our faculty, staff, and students to building a learning environment that meets the highest global standards.”

The AMBA and BGA accreditations highlight Gisma’s mission to cultivate global leaders who not only excel in business but also contribute positively to society. As the university continues to grow and expand its impact, this recognition reinforces its dedication to delivering transformative education that aligns with the needs of today’s interconnected world.

Gisma University of Applied Sciences extends its gratitude to its faculty, staff, students, alumni, and partners whose continued support and collaboration have made this achievement possible. The university remains committed to advancing excellence, innovation, and responsible management education in Germany and beyond.
