Studium Generale series begins at GISMA

Magellan students participated in team management II

On Friday 17 March, GISMA’s Magellan MBA students went sailing with Uniper’s Rainer Veith as part of their Team Management II module.

As globalisation and digitalisation have increased, team management skills have become increasingly important for managers. This event was part of a set of experiential learning exercises, giving students the opportunity to hone their individual and team management skills in a practical environment.

After a brief introduction to team management theories and a Q&A session with Rainer, the MBA class took off to the Blauer See (Blue Lake) in Garben to engage in various team exercises on building high performance teams and conflict resolution.

Each activity gave team members the opportunity to reflect on strengths and weaknesses of team performance and relate them to real life challenges in the business world whilst having fun.

Unfortunately, the weather turned out to be less supportive than expected and the second day of the team building had to be postponed; however, it will be rescheduled for late spring or early summer.
