Guest speaker event on management strategy
On 18 Feb 2016, GISMA Business School hosted a guest speaker event with Moritz von Soden, the Managing Partner at Bornemann Gewindetechnik GmbH & Co KG. He was introduced by the new Dean of GISMA, Dr Steve Priddy, who also give a short introduction about himself and GISMA Business School. His presentation was on the teachings of 19th century Prussian generals, titled “Strategy as intended - an old solution to a modern problem”. He described this as a solution to the 21st century management issues corporations face today.
Moritz explained that turning strategy into action and responding quickly to the ever changing business environment is key in the current times of “digital disruption”. After his presentation, attendees were able to ask questions about his theories and his company.
Moritz was also keen to express his interest in getting advice from GISMA’s students on how to further improve his company with new ideas. He stated that he looks forward to a closer collaboration with GISMA and its students in the future. This event attracted a lot of interest, with prospective and current students, staff members, and alumni in attendance.
