Graduation of WEMBA Class 2015
On Friday, July 24, GISMA Business School in Hannover, Germany celebrated the graduation of its Weekend MBA Class of 2015. The 11 graduates began their studies in January 2013, attending classes on Fridays and Saturdays while working full-time.
They received the MBA degree from GISMA’s partner school, the historic and esteemed Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Universität Hannover. The graduation ceremony was held in the Leibniz Haus, an architectural impressive landmark building in the historic area of Hannover city. GISMA’s Managing Director Dr. Thorsten Thiel and the president of the Leibniz University, Prof. Dr. Volker Epping, addressed the audience of faculty members, relatives and friends. Dr. Thiel emphasized the importance of keeping a close and excellent relationship with all WEMBA graduates: “GISMA sets high value on its alumni relations and the mutual support as alumni are an essential link for GISMA and its prospective students in terms of sharing study and work experiences as well as building bridges for future career opportunities.
And MBA graduate Oksana Zanik shared her personal study experience by stating: "To combine a full time job and an MBA programme seemed almost impossible at the beginning, but I decided that if I want to get the knowledge and explore the power I have to change the things in the world I disagree with - I will do the MBA. GISMA’s MBA was hard work and great experience! We had professors, who really stretched our thinking. Today is our graduation, which is not the end but a new beginning for us".
Everyone had the chance to meet and personally congratulate the happy graduates at a champagne reception after the ceremony. GISMA wishes all WEMBA graduates the best as they move onwards and upwards in their lives and careers.
