GISMA students enjoy field trip to Volkswagen
GISMA alumni and Magellan MBA students recently visited VW Nutzfahrzeuge in Stoecken, Hannover.
Students had the opportunity to see how the vehicles are made, which was particularly useful for Magellan postgraduates currently taking logistics and operations management as they could witness the production line first-hand.
After the tour, the group met Dr Wolf from the product strategy department and Mr Nathow from the sales department. They shared their perspectives on mobility, shared spaces, user experience, and driverless cars, amongst other topics.
Dr Wolf also gave the students an insight into the corporate culture of VW, highlighting the shift from being a purely technical/engineering company to a service provider. The challenges that VW is facing as a result were also discussed.
Student Alexandre Santos said that he enjoyed the educational experience and was keen to discover opportunities VW has for MBA students.
GISMA hopes to organise many more experiences like this for students.
