GISMA launches student association with a discussion on women in business
The first student association at GISMA Berlin was launched at an event on 7 November 2017.
The aim of the association is to support women in business through panel discussions, company visits, and other activities.
The event saw MIB student Alexa Mollicchi Casanova discussing her internship at the NGO Girls Gearing Up, which supports the development of girls under 17. She now wishes to continue promoting women’s development, which she has wanted to do since the start of her studies at GISMA. She found a lot of supporters for her idea, and will surely continue to develop the idea for future impact.
As well as this, Berlin-based entrepreneur Mali Baum also shared her international business experiences, which inspired many students. We are confident they will use this experience to benefit their studies and future career prospects.
The event was a great success and had a good turnout of people who are passionate about promoting and encouraging female development in the workplace and the business industry. ‘Women in Business’ is important to GISMA, and on 31 January the school will host another exciting event with IMPACT group on a similar topic.
Well done to everyone involved in setting up this association!
