GISMA Business School in Berlin welcomes first students for partners’ degrees
The programmes offered by The University of Law Business School and Arden University will help train postgraduate students in Germany to succeed in a competitive job market
GISMA Business School has welcomed its first students for the new degrees offered in collaboration with The University of Law Business School and Arden University at its Berlin campus.
In the first two weeks of February, over 60 postgraduate students arrived in Berlin, where the students can access programmes accredited by prestigious UK universities in Germany. Enrolled on one of the new MScs offered at GISMA, students from around the world will be studying topics such as corporate finance, business management, data analytics, and IT security.
Dr Thorsten Thiel, Managing Director at GISMA Business School, said: “We launched these collaborations to create a unique offering for students at GISMA, and the response has exceeded our expectations. Berlin is one of Europe’s most important commercial hubs, and to study here for internationally recognised programmes will give students a competitive advantage in the market.
“As an international business school, we recognise how important a great learning experience is for students. Germany is a highly popular business study destination and, at GISMA in Berlin, our students will be provided with many opportunities to enhance their professional and interpersonal skills, and develop useful connections, to succeed in their careers.”
The MScs are taught in partnership with The University of Law Business School and Arden University. The University of Law, which was awarded a gold ranking in the UK Government-led Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) in 2017, will deliver programmes that focus on international business. Arden University’s career-focused master’s degrees will be offered to students full-time and part-time, combining online classes and face-to-face interaction.
For Dr Elizabeth Shaw, Head of Programmes and Student Experience at The University of Law Business School, this partnership is part of an ongoing philosophy for the institution. “The University of Law has a long and established legacy as a top education provider in the UK. The enthusiastic response to our business programmes is recognition of our ability to offer a learning experience of the highest quality to all students worldwide.”
Dr Philip Hallam, Vice-Chancellor and CEO at Arden University, said: “We at Arden University always aim to deliver excellence to our students, working to meet their needs and ambitions. We are delighted to welcome our first international students in Berlin and look forward to providing them with all the tools they need to achieve professional success.”
