Coaching Pool at GISMA

Coaching Pool at GISMA

We are excited to announce the official launch of GISMA’s new Coaching Pool.

International students who seek career opportunities in Germany often face difficulties which are mostly related to cultural differences. We want to make it easier for GISMA students to start their careers in Germany, so we have established the GISMA Coaching Pool.

As part of the Career Centre, the GISMA Coaching Pool enables students to work closely with individual coaches from different industry sectors. So far, we are working closely with two coaches in Hannover. Both are experts in their fields and have considerable professional experience in Germany and worldwide.

Hinrich Claussen graduated from GISMA in 2005, and is a pioneer in digital Mapping and car navigation. Currently, he works in business development in Bosch’s Car Multimedia department in Hildesheim.

Andreas Frank has a lot of international working experience as a project leader, key account manager and consultant in several industry sectors and countries. He is currently working in Hannover as a product manager for an international company in the automatisation industry.

Both coaches assist students every month through individual and group coaching sessions on career-related topics, such as career paths in Germany or self-marketing. Each session is tailored to students’ personal needs and expectations.

Amir Khalilov, an MBA student, said: “The benefits I have received so far from the Coaching Pool: I’ve been able to determine my requirements and I know now how to work on them. I am also benefiting from the group discussions on various interesting topics about career and personal development."
