GISMA visits a Careers Fair in Melsungen
On 13 November, GISMA’s International MBA students travelled to Melsungen for a careers fair. They were accompanied to this annual fair by Career Department and Alumni Manager, Paulina Zelazowska-Müller.
After being granted ‘wild card status’, allowing them to skip the pre-selection process, students had the opportunity to talk directly to CEOs and HR directors and hand in their resumes, as well as attending numerous company presentations.
MBA student, Obanye Onyebuchi Ikechukwu, said: "It was quite fascinating to get to meet German hidden champions face to face. Some of the companies went ahead to discuss my CV with me pointing out exactly what is needed and what is not.
“Overall, it was a positive exposure as I now know what exactly the German job market demands and how I can meet the requirements....all thanks to GISMA and its Career Services." The Career Day also helped students to self-reflect about their own skills.
“The Career Day was really helpful as it showed me the opportunities on the job market, as well as the skills I need to develop in order to fit in the German job market,” said MBA student, Moustafa Khafagy.
