Student Support Coordinator with focus on International Affairs (m/f/d)

Experience Level: Junior or Mid Level

The Role

As Student Support Coordinator you will be part of a team of five and will support the Student Support team by fielding general student enquiries by various communication channels and to provide general administrative assistance.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

In this role your tasks and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Being the first point of contact for our students on our campus in Potsdam. This includes information about visas and student related residence permits (study purposes, working rights, post-graduate residence permit options), city registration, blocked bank accounts as well as health insurance).
  • Supporting regular communication with students through various channels and as first point of contact at our Welcome Desk.
  • Be actively involved in the registration process ensuring student visas are correct, checked and uploaded into the student database in a timely fashion.
  • Delivering excellent customer service by providing seamless administration and effective communication.
  • Processing service support requests from a partner law firm and health insurance partner.
  • Issuing official letters to students upon request.
  • Answering emails promptly and professionally.
  • Supporting students in their enrolment process on campus.
  • Guiding students in their questions regarding policies and procedures.
  • Answering phone calls from students and providing assistance as needed.
  • Performing other administrative duties as requested by the our Line Manager Katja to support the seamless implementation and execution of processes.

Your profile:

  • Experience in an International Office, ideally in the education sector
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in business correspondence with customers.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and German.
