Magellan MBA students company visit to Sodecia
Company visits play a very important role during the MBA at GISMA, and we regularly organize trips to local businesses through our Careers Centre. Recently, Magellan MBA students visited the Sodecia Powertrain Product Competence Centre on the outskirts of Hannover, and had the chance to know more about the Portuguese company with more than 45 locations worldwide.
Such visits are one of the key USPs for studying with GISMA Business School, as we completely understand and appreciate the need for our students to network with businesses. They are then able to receive industry insights by visiting organisations, as well as learning first-hand what the sector challenges are, providing opportunities to apply their learning from the various courses which we offer.
The students had a very interesting discussion with Ms. Dina Matos, Competitiveness Manager, Ms. Susana Venacio, HR Manager and with engineers from the Product Development Centre. Students also had the chance to present their post-MBA aspirations to the HR Manager.
Topics included the business model of Sodecia, the future of automotive suppliers, energy, change, talent, and innovation management.
Udham Yadav, Magellan MBA student said: “As a mechanical engineer, this visit was instrumental in helping me understand how I can better use my engineering and business background in my future career.”
Finally, did you know that we have a number of industry links with organisations like BMW, Volkswagen, Bornemann Gewindetechnik and Continetal?
