GISMA Language School’s online Medical German course is tailored to those aspiring to become healthcare professionals in Germany. You will learn German to the required level whilst gaining the necessary skills to thrive in as a professional in the country’ medical system.

At present, students wishing to pursue roles in Germany’s healthcare sector and gain a work visa will need to have B2 level German; this course will ensure you meet these requirements. You’ll be learning in a German-speaking environment to enrich your learning experience and fully prepare you for your role as a medical professional after successful completion of the course.

Students will benefit from our dedicated application support service which assists students in obtaining work contracts for a range of positions with one our medical partner institutions.

 

The Medical German Service Application

GISMA is also proud to offer a support service specifically dedicated to the Medical German application. Students will receive full support for employment or vocational training applications at one of our medical partner institutions.

As well as offering support with the job application itself, the team will provide students with key information about entry requirements for nursing training programmes, application procedures in Germany and what documents are required for applications at one of our medical partner institutions.

 


Work visa

A German work visa will be required for the following roles:

  1. A three-year vocational training nursing (in German: duale Ausbildung)
  2. A job in the healthcare sector

Students will be required to provide written proof from an employer, confirming their job contract and acceptance of employment.  

GISMA’s Medical German course will teach students up to the the required German level B2 as well as helping students apply for and gain a work contract at one of our a medical partner instituitions.

With the proof of German Language level B2 and an accepted work contract, students will be able to apply for a work visa.

 

Entry requirements

Applicants for vocational training: Higher secondary school qualification from home country and minimum age 18.

Or

Applicants for a job: Proof of professional qualification recognised in Germany; work experience in accordance with the partner institution requirements.

Or

Applicants for a job with an academic degree: Proof of an academic degree recognised in Germany


You will study 44 weeks of German language classes: 40 weeks of language classes (A1– B2 levels) + 4 weeks of Medical German module.

  • Level A1: Beginner (8 weeks + 1 free week level exam preparation)
  • Level A2: Elementary (8 weeks + 1 free week level exam preparation)
  • Level B1: Intermediate (8 weeks + 1 free week level exam preparation)
  • Level B2: Upper Intermediate (8 weeks + 1 free week exam preparation)
  • Medical German Module (4 weeks)
