Course Details

Our Master’s degree in Strategic Business Management is designed to develop your analytical and critical skills in the core strategic issues facing managers and organisations in today’s fast-moving global business world.

Course participants will gain a deep intellectual appreciation of the theoretical foundations of Business and Management including corporate governance, human resource management and marketing. Participants will also learn the professional skills required for leading strategy development and managing the implementation of strategic and operational plans locally, nationally, and internationally.

With a strong focus on employability, the aim of the programme is to produce career-ready graduates who are knowledgeable and effective strategic management professionals.

This programme is awarded by The University of Law and delivered by GISMA, at its campus in Berlin.

Study Methods

This is an interactive course with a real-world focus and learning takes place both in and outside of the classroom environment. Small group workshops are used to promote student interaction and facilitate personal support. Workshops and lectures are supported by a wealth of online resources from The University of Law, including The Financial Times, case studies, video content, online testing, and feedback. You will receive all core textbooks free of charge and have access to the University of Law’s Virtual Learning Environment, Elite.

Course Structure

Full-time

The course will run over one year and is divided into three semesters consisting of 13 weeks. In each semester, students will study 45 credits of taught modules and the equivalent of 15 credits of the Business Project module.

During the first semester, students will also study Professional Development - a non-credit bearing module.

Flexible payment plan

GISMA offers flexible payment plans that allow you to spread the costs of your programme fees in up to six instalments. A refundable* deposit of €2,000 is required to secure your place, and the remainder of the tuition fee is to be paid after the start of programme in accordance with your payment schedule.

You will be eligible for a discount of 5% off the total fee if the payment of the entire tuition fee is completed before the first instalment due date.

Entry requirements

  • Qualifications: 2:2 or above from a UK Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent qualifications.
  • English proficiency: An English language level equivalent to IELTS 6.5 or above with a minimum of 5.5 in each component.
  • Non-standard entry: non-standard applicants are welcome to apply at GISMA. Applicants without a bachelor's degree may apply if they possess at least 5 years' managerial experience.
