Course Details

The Master’s degree in Corporate Financial Management is ideal for those seeking a future career in banking, accountancy, or personal and corporate finance. You will apply theoretical concepts and finance models to real world case studies and learn about contemporary topics including governance, risk management, social responsibility, banking regulation, finance, corporate reporting, and performance management.

Students will learn how to critically analyse contextual data and information about real life business challenges and how to design comprehensive solutions using financial tools and skills. On top of this, students will acquire the competences necessary for leading the development of a financial analytical and decision-making process (e.g., mergers and acquisitions). Graduates will complete the course with the ability to effectively manage and implement financial projects within the context of social corporate responsibility.

This programme is awarded by The University of Law and delivered by GISMA, at its campus in Berlin.

Study Methods

This is an interactive course with a real-world focus and learning takes place both in and outside of the classroom environment. Small group workshops are used to promote student interaction and facilitate personal support. Workshops and lectures are supported by a wealth of online resources from The University of Law, including The Financial Times, case studies, video content, online testing, and feedback. You will receive all core textbooks free of charge and have access to the University of Law’s Virtual Learning Environment, Elite.

Course Structure


Students will study for one year divided into three semesters. The semesters last for 13 weeks and in each semester, students will study 45 credits of taught modules and the equivalent of 15 credits of the Business Project module.

During the first semester, students will also study Professional Development - a non-credit bearing module.

Flexible payment plan

GISMA offers flexible payment plans that allow you to spread the costs of your programme fees in up to six instalments. A refundable* deposit of €2,000 is required to secure your place, and the remainder of the tuition fee is to be paid after the start of programme in accordance with your payment schedule.

You will be eligible for a discount of 5% off the total fee if the payment of the entire tuition fee is completed before the first instalment due date.

Entry requirements

  • Qualifications: 2:2 or above from a UK Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent qualifications.
  • English proficiency: an English language level equivalent to IELTS 6.5 or above with a minimum of 5.5 in each component.
  • Non-standard entry: non-standard applicants are welcome to apply at GISMA. Applicants without a bachelor's degree may apply if they possess at least 5 years' managerial experience.
