Who should take this course?

This programme is aimed at anyone seeking a career in accounting and finance. This course will provide you with key skills in financial reporting and management accounting, and knowing how to apply these to inform good financial decision making in real business situations.

How will you learn?

You will learn using a combination of face-to-face and online learning. Arden University's innovative distance learning techniques mix traditional face to face classes with the flexibility of online studying.   • Enable students to develop professional-level skills and understanding across a range of accounting related disciplines.
  • Enable students to acquire the knowledge, understanding and also practical skills relating to key inter-connected disciplines applicable to a range of commercial and non-commercial sectors, at a local, national and global level.
  • Promote an understanding of the key aspects of current practice and the interconnectedness of key areas within the field of accountancy.
  • Equip students with the essential employability skills and tools to work ethically and professionally in a business environment and to be effective practitioners, when working independently and when collaborating with others.

In addition to the qualification, fees cover a range of student support services, including accommodation assistance and visa application support, as well as German language classes for international students.

A deposit of €1,000 is required to begin with.

Please note that from February 2020 onwards, an initial deposit of €2,000 will be required.

Entry requirements

Standard entry requirements

  • Two subjects at GCE A level or equivalent, plus passes at grade C or above in Maths and two other subjects at GCSE level or equivalent; or
  • Completed a recognised Access Programme or equivalent
  • Personal statement 

For students whose prior learning was not taught in English

  • IELTS 6.0 or equivalent (no less than 5.5 in any element)

 

Non-standard entry:

Applicants should be able to demonstrate that they have a strong motivation to study the programme. A personal statement will be needed if you do not meet the standard entry requirements. This statement should be between 350-500 words and should include your references, relevant prior experience and qualifications.

Furthermore, we will ask for references and evidence of a minimum of 2 years’ work experience.  

A completed application form is required for all entry routes.
