Volkswagen: Africa - a continent full of new mobility markets
Africa is in many respects still an underestimated continent; however, this may soon change, as it appears to be the last large region in the world where opportunities for enormous sustainable economic growth still exist.
With this in mind, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles and GISMA Business School initiated a joint project. The goal was to identify which African nations offer the biggest potential for economic development and how far the automotive sector, especially light commercial vehicles, may profit from this.
Between May and October 2017, students from the Magellan MBA programme at GISMA - Mohamed Fouda, Aliaksandra Babushkina, and Ayham Adi - worked on identifying relevant African economies and analysed their respective automotive conditions and market prospects.
