Pressure Test Your Business Model by InnovationLabs

Technologies and customer demands change much faster than they used to. While business plans are often seen as great execution documents in sufficiently stable environments, entrepreneurs favour experimentation processes over planning to deal with today’s complexity. However, many corporations and financial investors still require fairly detailed planning documents to facilitate their decision making. While a business concept - for example, a business model canvas - might describe the initial set of assumptions to test validate and experiment your way to a successful start-up, it might not be sufficient to receive financial backing and stakeholder support. Today’s organisations develop new innovation skills and tools to improve, transform or disrupt existing models, they also need to adjust their mind set and improve the way they model the financial impact of new ventures.

This course is designed to equip innovators with the knowledge and tools needed to deal with the increased complexity in today’s fast-paced, innovative markets and the financial impact of strategic business model scenarios.

For more information on Klaus G. Kammermeier, the lecturer for this short course, click here to visit his website.

Goal:

  • Understand the role of the business model canvas and business plan play in establishing new adventures
  • Understand the key elements of the business model canvas, value proposition design, business plan, financial plan and strategic business model scenarios.
  • Learn how to model the critical elements of business model scenarios, pressure test the critical assumptions, reflect learnings and adjust to changes.

Content:

  • Develop testable business model, using business model canvas, value proposition design, and create meaningful strategic business model scenarios.
  • Write a crisp business plan, including financial projections or an investment proposal to convince investors, co-founders, employees and stakeholders.
  • Track progress, measure key indicators, adjust to changes and continually reflect upon key learnings.

The course will provide a certificate from InnovationLabs.Berlin
