Leadership short course with UCD Smurfit

From 2 to 4 November, GISMA offered an exclusive leadership short course in cooperation with Executive Development at the distinguished, triple-accredited University College Dublin Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School.

Helen Brophy, Director Executive Development at UCD, said: “UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School was delighted to work in cooperation with GISMA to offer our very popular three-day executive short course on Leading for High Impact and Results. The team at GISMA were a pleasure to work with, the facilities and service provided were excellent and the participants were highly engaged. We look forward to developing our cooperation in the future and to delivering more programmes at GISMA”.

The short course brought together experienced professionals, some of them GISMA alumni, from companies such as Volkswagen, Siemens, TÜV Nord, V-Line, Baker Hughes and even German soccer club, Werder Bremen. During the three days, the participants assessed personal development needs, enhanced individual self-awareness, improved skills in leadership and developed superior insight into the leader’s role in executing change and fulfilling the organisation’s potential.

GISMA Managing Director, Dr. Thorsten Thiel, said: “GISMA Business School strives to bring forth true leadership personalities, promote the ability to think outside the box and build rich interpersonal networks and friendships. Short courses like these fulfil an important role in the development of experienced professionals – for their personal enrichment and the benefit of their organisations.”

The feedback from participants has been excellent, with many already asking for more offers. Christian Thometzek, from TÜV-NORD Umweltschutz GmbH & Co. KG, said: “It was my first time at GISMA Business School and I was deeply impressed and feel enthusiastic after three days ‘leading for high impact and results’. The seminar was one of the best seminars I have ever attended on ‘leading performances’. The most important result of my participation is the honest feedback from the other participants and the lecturers, which helps me to develop my performance in an efficient way close to the real situation in my affairs. Kudos to the lecturers and the organisation – it was a successful event!”
