GISMA hold first roundtable discussion
Dr Steve Priddy, Academic Dean for GISMA Business School in Hannover, and Dr Thorsten Thiel, Managing Director of GISMA, welcomed alumni, students, and company representatives to the first GISMA roundtable discussion on Tuesday 1st March.
Dr Priddy introduced GISMA’s academic vision and stressed the need of continuous testing of new ideas, whilst Dr Thiel presented GISMA’s strategic 5 year plan for new programmes, products, and locations. Professor Eamon Walsh and Dr Christoph Drechsler from University College Dublin joined the second part of the roundtable to present their MSc in Strategic Management Accounting and Controlling.
The roundtable also explored the the development of programmes with new academic partners in light of the key requirements of German employers. The Executive Education portfolio, new programmes for 2017, new GISMA premises in Berlin and London, and a new offer for GISMA alumni were all discussed. Participants also shared their opinions on GISMA’s local visibility and the importance of topics such as digitalisation and cyber security for the Executive Education portfolio. Dr Priddy very much welcomed the lively and productive roundtable discussion, and thanked all participants for their support now and with new developments to come.
