Tenured Professor positions (W3) in
with the appointment effective as of August, 2010. Candidates must have a Ph.D. and an established record of scholarly achievement, leadership, and teaching. It is expected that the candidate's qualifications will merit the rank of tenured Full Professor or tenured Associate Professor.
Successful candidates are expected to show a strong publication record in leading international journals, to continue an active program of research in their field and to participate in professional organizations and research networks bringing visibility to the candidate, the GISMA and the Leibniz Universität. Candidates can join research clusters of the Leibniz Universität, e.g. Finance or International Management.
Candidates should also have an established record of successful teaching, preferably in an MBA program. Successful candidates will be required to teach a core course in their area in the MBA program as well as a range of electives. These candidates will also be expected to teach in our executive and weekend MBA programs and in non-degree company seminars. A successful track record of teaching at the executive level is desired. All instruction at GISMA is in English. German language skills are not required; a willingness to learn German is expected.
The GISMA Business School was founded in 1999 as collaboration between the Krannert School of Management, Purdue University, and a private foundation in Germany. GISMA has offered a full-time MBA program and an executive MBA program continuously since 1999. In 2008 Leibniz Universität Hannover joined the partnership bringing to GISMA all the benefits of an established German research university and also the opportunity to expand GISMA’s programs.
Faculty appointments will be made through Leibniz Universität, School of Economics and Management, with the faculty member assigned to GISMA. The general tasks, responsibilities and required qualification for employment are specified in the Higher Education Act of Lower Saxony (§ 25 NHG).
